Magazine Double Page Spread Chosen Layout

Above is an image which shows my chosen layout of my music magazine's double page spread. The main point that I had to take into account when designing the layout was how I could link the two pages together making them look like they should be together. I eventually decided to do this by placing a picture which spread across both pages and this ment that they can be merged together. However, after making this decision I then had to decipher where I was to put my text. My final decision on where I was going to put the text was to place it around the picture. This means that hopefully my double page spread will be more eye-catching and appealing because my text and my image are close together; hence grabing the audiences attention. I will be also putting my double page spread to the test when I use it for my mock ups.
